La Mira’s self-manfactured pieces feature delicate embroidery and custom florals printed exclusively for each collection. Each fabric has been specifically chosen for comfort and durability.
The respective care guide for fabrics we usually use are listed as below:
DELICATES (CROCHET, LACE, EYELET)
DO's
- Hand wash or delicate cycle in cold water, inside out, in a laundry net.
- Use mild detergent.
- Iron on low heat if needed.
DON'T's
- Don’t wring, bleach, or tumble dry.
TIP: Lay flat to dry and store flat to avoid stretching.
COTTON
DO's
- Hand wash or delicate cycle in cold water, inside out, in a laundry net.
- Use mild detergent.
- Iron on low heat.
DON'T's
- Don’t soak or tumble dry to prevent shrinkage.
- Don’t bleach unless label says so.
TIP: Organic or recycled cotton is softer and more sustainable — wash mindfully to preserve it.
LYOCELL (TENCEL)
DO's
- Hand wash or delicate cycle in cold water, inside out, in a laundry net.
- Use mild detergent for delicates.
- Air dry flat in the shade.
- Iron inside out on low–medium heat.
DON'T's
- Don’t bleach, tumble dry, wring, or use harsh detergents/softeners.
- Don’t store damp or in sunlight.
TIP: Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
RAYON
DO's
- Wash in cold or warm water.
- Iron on low heat.
DON'T's
- Don’t tumble dry on high heat (can damage fibres).
TIP: Quick-drying — best to air dry.
DENIM
DO's
- Close zippers/buttons and turn inside out before washing.
- Wash in cold water with mild detergent.
- Air dry flat or hang in shade.
- Stretch gently while damp if it shrinks.
- Store folded in a cool, dry place.
DON'T's
- Don’t bleach, tumble dry, wring, or use fabric softener.
- Don’t wash with sharp objects or light-coloured garments.
TIP: Turning denim inside out preserves its colour and texture.
LINEN
DO's
- Hand wash or machine wash on gentle/delicate cycle in cold water.
- Use a laundry net and wash inside out with similar colours.
- Air dry flat or hang in the shade.
- Gently stretch and iron while damp on low heat if needed.
- Store folded, in a cool, dry, dark place.
DON'T's
- Don’t bleach, wring, tumble dry, or overload the washer.
- Don’t hang for long periods (may stretch).
- Don’t stack or store damp.
TIP: Wash before wearing to minimise wrinkles and prevent colour run.
CHIFFON
DO's
- Hand wash gently in cold water.
- Steam iron if needed (no direct heat).
DON'T's
- Don’t wring, soak, or tumble dry.
TIP: Treat as a delicate — handle gently and dry flat or hang.
VEGAN LEATHER
DO's
- Wipe stains gently with a damp cloth before washing.
- Hand wash in cold water with gentle detergent.
- Machine wash only inside out in a mesh bag (if label allows).
- Air dry flat or hang inside out in shade.
- Condition occasionally with a small amount of oil to keep it supple.
DON'T's
- Don’t bleach, wring, tumble dry, or iron directly.
- Don’t use powder detergent or fabric softener.
- Don’t store near sharp objects or metal accessories.
TIP: Steam lightly (inside out) if needed — never iron directly.
TWEED
DO's
- Hand wash in cold water with gentle detergent.
- Turn inside out and use a laundry net for machine wash (if needed).
- Air dry flat or hang (depending on weight).
- Lightly iron on cool setting to reshape.
- Store in cool, dry area with moth repellent.
DON'T's
- Don’t bleach, tumble dry, wring, or expose to direct heat/sunlight.
- Don’t pile while damp or near sharp objects.
TIP: Spot clean with cold water for small stains.
SEQUIN / EMBELLISHED FABRICS
DO's
- Hand wash inside out gently in cold water.
- Use a laundry net if machine washing on delicate.
- Air dry flat on a towel.
- Use a steamer carefully (avoid contact with sequins).
DON'T's
- Don’t bleach, wring, twist, tumble dry, or iron directly.
- Don’t overload the washer.
TIP: Store in a breathable garment bag to prevent snagging.
TWILL
DO's
- Hand wash in cold water.
- Iron on low heat.
DON'T's
- Don’t tumble dry or wring.
TIP: Air dry to preserve weave texture.
